MacArthur Project, Yerington, Nevada (Copper)
The 100% Quaterra owned MacArthur project is a large oxide copper project with a clear path to production.
Located in Yerington, Nevada, 50 miles southeast of Reno, this project is part of the world-class Yerington Copper District. This super district contains a total metal endowment of 24 billion pounds of copper of which Quaterra's copper resources represent nearly 1/3. Several additional known resources can be found in the surrounding area - most notably the Bear Deposit, Pumpkin Hollow and Ann Mason deposits.
Quaterra controls 48 square miles in the Yerington District including the MacArthur Deposit, Yerington Pit and Bear Copper Projects. Located in a mining-friendly jurisdiction of Nevada with strong local and state support, substantial infrastructure and 8,600 acre ft/year water rights, these projects are key to building a district-scale copper operation.
